For some time, there is now a chicken house with several hens and a rooster on Ngamwanza. This means that the children at special occasions are able to eat both meat and eggs, a very popular addition to the daily ugalin with kidney bean stew.
Finally, the new school bus in place on Ngamwanza Children Support Centre! The purpose of the bus is, above all, to make it easier for kids to get back and forth to school.
The rubber boots were donated by a private sponsor from Sweden and came very timely to the wet season. The kids were overjoyed and extremely proud.
Then it is time for the Christmas holidays if only a week the children have recently been flitiga and had national tests in Kiswahili, English, science and mathematics. This is something that is done before each semester end and because it has a three–term in system in Kenya. so does
Along with Sarah, Helping Hands Treasurer, 35 people went down to Kenya the 17th February 2012. On the trip were two other Board members; David H and Ingela G. Our trip contained more than words can describe but one of the stops was at the Ngamwanza Children’s Support Centre.
